All of Us Are Deadwas longer than previous K-dramas we have seen on the platform, consisting of 12 1-hour episodes. The series wasviolent and brutalfrom the get-go, and no one was safe from the onslaught of terror brought on by the zombies. The ending ofAll of Us Are Deadis bleak, and there aren’t many survivors. No characters are safe in the series, no matter how much viewers might be invested in them, and this is demonstrated when Nam So-ju (Jeon Bae-soo) is killed after he fights his way to try to save his daughter On-jo (Victoria Grace). He is able to save her from the gymnasium, but is torn to pieces after he does so, making for a gut-wrenching scene. Even after his death we see how he planned to keep his daughter sage, typing ribbons which lead to the students finding a path to safety.
The group make it to Yangdon and continue to suffer losses. Woo-jin sacrifices himself after putting himself in the firing line of the undead in order to save his sister, and Nam-ra then must kill his zombie form. Nam-ra is a half-human, half-zombie hybrid and her hunger is sparked by this encounter. She stays in control and leaves before she attacks the group which finally allows them to escape and enter the quarantine zone. We then catch up with the group 4 months on, the survivors are still in quarantine, but are planning to reunite with Nam-ra. After they cross the wall to find her, they discover that she has now accepted her fate, and plans to attempt to help others who are like her.
Cast: Who Could Return?
The ending of season 1 sets up a possible series to largely focus on Nam-ra and how she will navigate the world with her zombie-human hybrid abilities. It appears she is planning on harvesting these powers for good and will be reaching out to others who are like her, possibly planning to band together and fight against the virus somehow. It may be possible that the series will also develop the stories of the survivors who are now in quarantine.
Lots of the cast died throughout the first series, so it’s unlikely that any of them will return. Lee Cheong-san’s fate is undetermined at the end of the first series, so there is a possibility we could see him return to develop the plot further. It’s very likely that a possible second season would see the introduction of lots of new characters as the setting is now outside the school and in new territory.

Plot: What Could Season 2 Be About?
There were hundreds of students at Hyosan High School and only a small number survived, including: On-jo, Su-hyeok, Dae-su, Ha-ri, Mi-jin, and Hyo-ryung. They are all in a refugee camp to seek safety from the virus, and it’s unclear how their stories could develop further.
Nam-ra is the character who will most likely be focused on should a second season be green-lit. At the end of the first series, we saw she was on a mission to find others like her. Her intentions seemed good, and she is possibly looking to combat the virus. This would make a very interesting plot for a second series, and her struggles with her human/zombie side could set up a very exciting plot. It’s also possible any other hybrids she could encounter could have different plans and work against her. A second season, of course, hasnot yet been commissioned, but we hope it happens soon as the plot is shaping up to be exciting.
